Responsibilities
- Plan and organize accounting and auditing engagements, including communication with client management regarding timing of fieldwork and client assistance.
- Assume full responsibility (under supervision) for preparation of compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements.
- Responsible for all aspects of fieldwork, including coordinating and developing procedures to meet engagement objectives.
- Supervise staff during accounting and auditing engagements.
- Assure that the engagement workpapers contain collaborating evidence to support engagement objectives.
- Prepare reports and financial statements, including all relevant note disclosures. • Evaluate client internal controls.
- Assist with more complicated segments of audits and accounting engagements. • Identify potential management letter comments.
- Perform most assignments with minimum supervision.
- Prepare business and individual tax returns related to accounting and auditing clients and assist tax staff in the off-season.
- Research accounting and tax issues.
- Recognize potential problem areas in specific engagements and discuss them with person responsible for the engagement
- Interact directly with clients’ accounting personnel.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with CCH Axcess and/or ProSystem fx products (Engagement, Tax, Workstream, Practice, Fixed Assets and Document) and Thomson Reuters Checkpoint practice aids is a plus.
Education and experience: Post secondary degree to qualify for CPA exam; CPA licensed in Florida or working toward licensure in Florida; minimum 3 years of experience.
